It's been four months since I've been back at work and it's time for a holiday. We struggled to find somewhere that met all the requirements - somewhere new, pub nearby nice cottage with a wood burning stove. We found a couple of places that came close that will have to be re-looked at when the local hostelries are open. You gotta love when Scotland closes for winter.
Well destination is Moidart. Not totally new to us but we have never stayed there and looking at the maps we can't wait to explore the hills, bays, bothies and beaches that are going to be on the doorstep. Just what I need to re-charge the batteries.
Heh heh - I sympathise with the requirements thing. Factor in a couple of dugs as well though!

I still think our holiday cottage in Salen on Mull was hard to beat. It ticked all those boxes and it sat between the pub on one side and the Spar shop on the other. And the pub did takeaway food.

Aye, the dug factor, not one many places consider. Amounts to dug discrimination!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of that place on Mull, you'll need to give me the details. We had considered there for this trip but decided that a ferry crossing and February unpredictable weather may lead to disappointment. Hopefully we'll get there later in the year.
